THE POLS LOSE ONE - March 17, 1990
    State Representative Matt Ryan had pushed a curious Bill through the House of Representatives that was quickly approved by the Senate. It now required only the signature of the Governor to become law. The Bill provided that a Judge or Justice would not be seventy, the mandatory retirement age, until December 31 of the year in which he or she becomes seventy. What the hell was this all about?
