THE POLS LOSE ONE - March 17, 1990
State Representative Matt Ryan had pushed a curious
Bill through the House of Representatives that was quickly approved by the
Senate. It now required only the signature of the Governor to become law.
The Bill provided that a Judge or Justice would not be seventy, the mandatory
retirement age, until December 31 of the year in which he or she becomes seventy.
